This weekend was very tiring. I had to pack up pretty much everything into my tazz and then unpack it all once I got to Jhb. I had bet Darryl at work that I could fit everything into two boxes. I lost :( Altho, I am still amazed at the amount of stuff I managed to fit into the car, and still have space to see through the rear-view mirror and blind spot. Not very much tho. And I still left loads of things back at home.

Saturday was extremely tiring - I packed up my home theatre and tv and my brother helped me take them to his place - lucky he lives next door. Then I had to finish packing up the rest of my stuff into boxes and packets and stuff. Finally, after having a Debonairs pizza for supper, I started taking stuff down to the car. I think I started this around 8-ish in the evening, and took the last bit down at about 12.15am.

I was hoping to sleep in a bit, but for some unknown reason I was awake around 6.30am. I did a few last minute things, said goodbye to my brother, and drove off around 9am. The drive wasn't too bad... having the car serviced last week definitely helped - I didn't expect to be able to go past 100km/h much, but the tazz happily went past 120 at times before I realised how fast I was going. I got here around 3.30pm, and, despite packing taking a good four hours, I had the car emptied in around 30 minutes. Everything went into the second bedroom, and then I got started with the important stuff - inflating the aerospace bed and putting up curtains in the main bedroom. Which reminds me, I need to get curtains for all the other windows.

A short while after I arrived, I got a call from Game asking if I was at home to receive the delivery of my fridge and washing machine. Quite impressive, considering I had asked them to deliver today (Monday). I managed to set the fridge up without completely breaking it. I'll get around to the washing machine some other time.

Today I went on my first shopping trip in Jhb. Mum will be proud to know that among the first things in the trolley was a broom and a mop and some kitchen cleaning things. The complex is new and nobody's stayed here before, which means that its fairly dusty, so I swept and mopped the floor. Then this evening my bed arrived, which is quite comfy. It's also the only piece of furniture I currently own. I'll go looking for stuff to sit on over the weekend. And more curtains.

So, thats the place. I was going to take new pics of the fridge and the bed but I'm connected to the net with my phone and it's been somewhat stable for now so I don't want to risk moving it. Which reminds me, because the complex is new, there aren't any Telkom lines installed yet. So I'll probably only be able to get adsl again when my lease expires. That sucks.

Work tomorrow. I must wear a button-up shirt. And shoes.
